MINISTER FOR WOMEN
The Minister for Women is The Hon. Verity Firth, MP
The Minister was elected to the NSW Parliament as a Member for Balmain at the 2007 election.
In addition to being appointed the Minister for Women, the Hon Verity Firth MP is the Minister for Climate Change and the Environment, Minister for Science and Medical Research, the Minister Assisting the Minister for Health (Cancer).
Before entering Parliament, the Minister was a solicitor with a law firm in Sydney which specialised in workplace law. In addition to her work as a Minister and local member, the Hon Verity Firth MP is still a councillor at the City of Sydney Council and balances this work with her family life and baby, April.
