REGISTER FOR WOMEN The NSW Government is actively encouraging women from diverse backgrounds to serve on public sector boards, councils and committees. There are more than 1,500 boards, councils and committees in NSW with more than 10,000 members. They make decisions on practically all aspects of life. Most appointments are part-time and for a fixed term. Women who sit on boards and committees contribute to the community by putting forward views and opinions that may otherwise be overlooked. In many instances, they may balance the interests of more traditional decision-makers with different perspectives gained from their different experiences. You can help us put more women into decision-making positions by adding your name to the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet Department Register for Women . For further information visit the Register for Women on the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet website. |
