Call for Expressions of Interest From NSW Local Domestic and Family Violence Committees The NSW Government provides small grants of up to $1,000 each year to NSW Local Domestic and Family Violence Committees to assist them with their violence prevention activities, including those associated with the 16 Days of Activism to Stop Violence Against Women campaign. In 2008 the funds assisted Local Committees in developing local media campaigns, promotional material and educational resources, and in running community events to raise awareness of domestic and family violence. The small grants are managed by the Violence Prevention Coordination Unit in the Office for Women’s Policy, NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet. The Office for Women’s Policy is calling for expressions of interest from NSW Local Domestic and Family Violence Committees for funding of up to $1,000 for activities associated with the 2009 16 Days of Activism to Stop Violence Against Women campaign or other relevant activities completed before June 2010. To be eligible, Local Domestic and Family Violence Committees must provide details of proposed activities to be undertaken. The closing date for applications is COB Friday 2 October 2009. An application form can be found at www.women.nsw.gov.au or by contacting Frances Lockie on (02) 9228 3938 or frances.lockie@dpc.nsw.gov.au
