Youth advocates, entrepreneurs and a drone pilot are among the 28 women selected as finalists for the 2018 NSW Women of the Year Awards, Minister for Women Tanya Davies announced today.

A panel of leading NSW women has nominated four women in seven categories, selected from hundreds of nominations. NSW residents are able to vote online for the finalists in five of the seven categories.

Mrs Davies urged NSW residents to read the finalists’ stories online, learn about their incredible achievements and show support by casting a vote by February 23.

“A huge congratulation to each of the remarkable women nominated this year, who are without a doubt worthy contenders for these prestigious Awards. Their personal stories of sacrifice, hard work and success are truly inspiring,” Mrs Davies said.

“In just a few clicks online you can get to know and encourage these outstanding women, by helping them get the recognition they deserve.”
