The Hon. Tanya Davies MP, Minister for Women, is hosting a series of community consultation workshops  to inform development of the NSW Women’s Strategy (the Strategy).

The Strategy seeks to improve the status of women by establishing a framework to improve the economic, social and physical wellbeing of women in NSW.

The workshops are an opportunity for interested members of the community, representatives from government and non-government organisations, and local businesses, to contribute ideas and expertise to a whole-of-government, whole-of-community approach that will focus on practical solutions.

Workshops will be held during May and June 2017 in the following locations:

  • Penrith – 16 May 2017
  • Tamworth – 3 July 2017
  • Sydney CBD  – 18 May 2017
  • Newcastle – 9 June 2017
  • Wagga Wagga – 13 June 2017
  • Broken Hill – 19 June 2017
  • Lismore – 28 June 2017
  • Bateman’s Bay – 30 June 2017

In addition to the consultation workshops, the community will also have an opportunity to provide further feedback on the Strategy via the NSW Government ‘Have Your Say’ website in June.
