Domestic and Family Violence Innovation Fund
The NSW Domestic and Family Violence Blueprint for Reform 2016-2021: Safer Lives for Women, Men and Children identifies the need for an increased focus on prevention and early intervention strategies to achieve a substantial and continued reduction in the rate of domestic and family violence, as well as the need for victims of domestic and family violence to receive flexible, timely and person-centred support.
To achieve this, the NSW Government announced a $20million Domestic and Family Violence Innovation Fund in the 2016/17 Budget. It will provide financial investment for initiatives in prevention, early intervention and crisis response. The Innovation Fund is an Australian first and signifies the NSW Government’s commitment to breaking the intergenerational cycle of domestic and family violence.
Expressions of interest for the DFV Innovation Fund closed on 17 February 2017. Any queries, or for further information, please contact DFVinnovation@moh.health.nsw.gov.au.
